A Festival of Complicities

On a beautiful weekend in October 2006, the Department of English and the College of Arts and Sciences hosted a conference honoring Harry Berger, Jr., renowned literary critic, art critic, and theorist of cultural change, on the occasion of his induction into the National Academy of Arts and Sciences. Participants from universities all over the country arrived in Columbia on Friday, October 13 for three stimulating days of talks and entertainments.
