Rhetoric@USC offers opportunities for both advanced graduate and undergraduate study.
The University of South Carolina is a leading center for the advanced interdisciplinary study of rhetoric. Rooted in a rich tradition of scholarship, the South Carolina rhetoric group is one of the few in the nation that seeks to build substantive bridges between different disciplinary interpretations of rhetorical inquiry.
At USC, the rhetoric faculty undertakes research and teachings that both draws from all parts of the rhetorical tradition and seeks sustained engagements with a variety of related fields, including literary studies, critical social theory, cultural and performance studies, social anthropology, feminism, philosophy, and political theory.
