RESOURCES
Audio
The FLLC has an extensive collection of audio
programs for students in many of our supported languages. Additionally,
we maintain master copies of most of the ancillary audio materials
accompanying course textbooks.
Video
The Center maintains a comprehensive foreign film library in both VHS and DVD formats. In addition, we maintain master copies of all video ancillaries accompanying course textbooks. Faculty may reserve and/or check out video materials for instructional purposes. Students may view materials in the Center unless alternate arrangements have been made by their instructors to borrow materials overnight.
Classrooms
The FLLC can schedule a number of classroom spaces depending upon the requirements of individual instructors:
- The Sony Lab:
offers simultaneous and/or independent listening and/or video
viewing in an instructor-led environment.
- Wireless Classrooms:
Room 102 is the space originally designated as the wireless computer
classroom. This room offers ideal conditions for video viewing,
projection, or independent work on laptop computers in a modern,
flexible setting.
- Sound Proof Room:
The sound proof room is ideal for the creation of audio course
materials and aural/oral language testing.
- Seminars: The
Center has two rooms available for small groups such as upper-level
seminars to meet in a comfortable setting. In addition, room 106A
is equipped with a satellite feed so that students and faculty
can view international programming together.
