EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION: AFRICA
The Department of Educational Leadership and Policies at the University of South Carolina invites applications for a tenure-track position in Educational Administration, with specialization in comparative and international education and educational leadership. Fluency in at least one African language is desired. Areas particularly sought include: Francophone West Africa, Islamic education in sub-Saharan Africa, development, conflict or post-conflict societies, the non-profit sector.
The position has been approved at the rank of either Assistant or Associate Professor and may begin in August, 2008. This search is being conducted as part of an effort to expand African Studies; other searches are being conducted for new faculty positions in Political Science and the Arnold School of Public Health. The position will strengthen initiatives in International and Comparative Education, in Development Studies, and potentially in Islamic Studies at the University.
