Robert M. Rood
Robert M. Rood is Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of
South Carolina. He earned his BA from St. Lawrence University, his M.A. from
rutgers, and his Ph. D. From the Maxwell School at Syracuse university. His
primary research and teaching interests are in the areas of international
relations theory and international conflict with strong secondary interests in
research methodology and American politics. He is co-editor of International
Events and the Comparative Study of Foreign Policy. He has published in the
American Political Science Review and International Interactions.
Two recent publications include a study of American politics and foreign policy
in the 1960s and American politics and foreign policy in the 1980s. Most recent
research has focused on the impact of state-by-state economic conditions on the
vote within each state. In his spare time her exhibits his golden retriever in
obedience trials and runs them in field events. He is also an AKC obedience trial
judge.
