Dr. Ogletree Cusaac is a licensed clinical psychologist and a sport psychologist. She was awarded her Ph.D. from University of South Carolina in Clinical-Community Psychology.
She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Washington.
She worked for nine years for the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice as a staff psychologist, supervising psychologist, and Treatment Director.
She worked with the male and female populations, which included the sex offenders and the serious and violent offenders. While there she was involved with
numerous committees, program development and evaluation efforts, and therapeutic interventions.
She currently teaches courses in the Department of Psychology at the University of South Carolina, specializing in sport and exercise psychology, human sexual behavior,
personality psychology, and introduction to psychology.
She has maintained a private practice since 1998 and has offices in Columbia and Aiken, South Carolina. She works with adolescents, families, adults, and couples.
Issues addressed include: stress and anxiety management, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, familial discord, life transitions, communication and relationship problems,
and behavioral management for Attention Deficit Disorders. She emphasizes healthy lifestyles and personal empowerment.
As a sport psychologist she has worked with individual athletes, teams and coaches at all levels of competition. She has conducted workshops on confidence building, anxiety reduction,
performance enhancement, and team cohesion. She is currently on staff as a contract sport psychologist with the University of South Carolina Department of Athletics.
She has been a guest lecturer in courses at University of South Carolina, Midlands Technical College, and Clemson University. She has conducted workshops and
presentations at local churches, schools, and youth groups.
