Dr. Nagle is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus. He received his Ph.D. with distinction from Columbia University in 1975 and in that year joined the faculty at the University of South Carolina.He has been named a Louise Fry Scudder Professor in recognition of his sustained record of excellence in teaching, research, mentoring and advising, and professional contributions beyond the University.
