The Department of Religious Studies has a working relationship with Interfaith Partners of South Carolina (IPSC) in order to promote and advance religious literacy, interfaith dialogue, and mutual respect among communities of diverse religious and cultural perspectives.
Distinctive religious traditions create opportunities for greater understanding of human potential and different definitions of the meanings of life. Unfortunately, the differences between religions can become sources of social conflict. The Department of Religious Studies encourages efforts for meaningful interreligious dialogue. Such may serve as the basis for some courses. In addition to class work, there are other opportunities to explore:

Interfaith events

Interfaith Calendar (lists holidays for over 30 religious traditions - by year)
