Inquiries for use of Rutledge Chapel for weddings, concerts, lectures, and other programs should be made to the Department of Religious Studies.
Use of Rutledge Chapel by student organizations for any purpose must be reserved through Russell House reservation system, or contact Joe Johnson.
Please note that weddings cannot be reserved through the Russell House reservation system; weddings must be booked through the Department of Religious Studies.
Lease of the Chapel is restricted to the narthex, sanctuary, and the dressing room and restroom located to the left of the sanctuary. Lease includes use of the piano, pulpit, and altar table. The piano and chandelier are maintained on a regular schedule, any additional desired tuning is the responsibility of the leasee.
The fee for weddings in the Chapel is $500, which includes 3 hours for the wedding and 1 hour for the rehearsal. All set-up, clean-up, and photographs must be done within the 3-hour period reserved. Reservations are only made on the hour (eg. for a 2 pm wedding the reservation could be from 12 pm to 3 pm); reservations cannot be made for times on the half-hour. Checks should be made out to the Department of Religious Studies.
Use of the organ must be arranged separately through the USC School of Music (tel. 777-5369) and the organist must be on the School of Music's approved list. There is a separate fee to the approved organist.
Use of the Chapel is by signed contract lease agreement.
