Since a specific course of study is designed to meet the needs of each student accepted into the program, high quality advising is key to the African-American Studies major. After consultation with the Director of Undergraduate Studies, each major is assigned a faculty advisor who makes certain that academic programs are completed in a timely fashion.
Although advisors must sign advisement forms, it is the responsibility of students to keep track of their courses and to make sure that their programs satisfy program and college graduation requirements.
