Thurgood Marshall

(Jul. 2, 1908 - Jul.24, 1993)
First African American to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States of America (1967-1991). As a lawyer he was noted for his high success rate in arguing before the Supreme Court and the victory in Brown vs. the Board of Education.
