Welcome to the new Southeast Association for Book Arts 2007 site!

This year's conference will be a mini conference, with a full conference in the planning stages for 2009.

This year we will offer two workshops. One will be a split workshop by Mary Robinson and Robin Price. On Wednesday, May 16, Robinson will present a papermaking session in which students will create paper which can be incorporated into the books they will make in Robin Price's workshop. In Price's session, which will take place on Thursday, May 17, students will investigate the roll of chance in the creation of contemporary book arts.

The second workshop will be a two-day class with Peter Madden.

One of the most important questions an artist can keep in mind when approaching their work is,
"What if??" Using this phrase as a key, we'll question, discover and explore processes and techniques for taking chances and expanding the boundaries of our work. With emphasis placed on intuition and spontaneity, we'll delve into the countless possibilities for structure, content and materials available to book artists.
