Susan Cofer, well known for her intensely sensitive and enigmatic organic form drawings, lives and works in Atlanta. “My art doesn’t have a political or social agenda. Rather, I feel it comes from a spiritual place,” she has said of her work. Her drawings have been exhibited in prominent museums and galleries throughout the United States including the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C., the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, and the prestigious Heath Gallery, Atlanta. Cofer’s work is in the permanent collections of the High Museum of Art, The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, and important private collections around the country and abroad.

An Atlanta native, she completed her undergraduate studies in art history at Hollins College, Roanoke, VA, and taught art at The Lovett School in Atlanta. She occasionally serves as a visiting lecturer at the Atlanta College of Art. She is a member of the Board of Visitors at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, University of Georgia, Athens, GA. She is represented by Solomon Projects Gallery, Atlanta, GA.
