ABOUT

Asian Arts Week is an annual interdisciplinary arts festival with events clustered around the last week of March. Film screenings, art exhibitions, visiting artists, academic lectures, poetry workshops and a dance performance combine in 2007 to celebrate the arts of Japan from ancient to contemporary.

See the calendar for specific dates, times and locations.

Asian Arts Week is made possible in part by a generous grant from the USC Arts Institute and is co-sponsored by the Center for Asian Studies, the Walker Institute of International and Area Studies and the English, Anthropology and Art departments of the University of South Carolina, in partnership with the Columbia Museum of Art, The Nickelodeon Theatre and The Power Company.

Stay tuned... in 2008 Asian Arts Week will focus on Southeast Asia!
