The College of Arts & Sciences Computing
Advisory Committee
This is a standing committee appointed by the Dean of the College
with each academic department having one member. The Director of
the Lab serves as an ex-officio member. The Chair of the committee
is appointed by the Dean. The committee meets several times during
each academic semester.
The mission of the committee is to advise
the Dean and the Director of the College of Arts & Sciences
Computing Center on matters relating to the acquisition and utilization
of computers and related information technology throughout the College.
To fulfill this mission the committee:
1. Reviews and recommends policies and procedures
established by the Computing Center; Evaluates the technology needs
of the College and approves plans for the upgrade and expansion
of computing resources; Assists with communication between the Computing
Center and all units about computing issues;
2. Serves as the focal point for the resolution of technology related
issues that may develop.
