South Carolina Summer Dance Conservatory attracts dancers from around the world to study and perform with some of the greatest teachers of our time. Columbia’s reputation of fine southern hospitality, coupled with the unequaled caliber of instruction makes the South Carolina Summer Dance Conservatory a wonderful learning experience for student dancers ages 11 and older.

Now in our 21st year, our outstanding professional training includes an outstanding faculty and professional performance opportunities in state of the art facilities. The SC Summer Dance Conservatory prides itself on offering three professional intensives; one for the serious ballet student, one for the serious contemporary student, and one for the serious jazz student. Students attending any of the intensives have the extraordinary opportunity to study with today’s most reknown instructors and dancers. Class size is small allowing for excellent personal attention.

An essential part of the student dancer’s development and training is performance experience. At the culmination of the three week intensive, students have the opportunity to perform classical repertoire and newly choreographic works at the Koger Center for the Performing Arts. Friends and family members are cordially invited to attend this event.
