    III.4 Checklist for Graduate Student Travel Award Applications

    For specific information concerning the College of Arts and Sciences Graduate Student Travel Award (GSTA), visit the following site: http://www.cas.sc.edu/dean/handbook/3-2.html

    A request for a GSTA from the College of Arts and Sciences includes the following items:

    1. A completed application form, an MSWord document down-loadable from this link: Graduate Travel Award Application form
    2. A letter from the student’s advisor indicating support for the request and verifying that the student is in good academic standing
    3. A letter from the departmental chair or the departmental graduate director indicating support for the request
    4. Formal written acknowledgement from the meeting organization that the student is on the program as a sole author or as a lead author

    The student should complete the application for the GSTA by printing these four completed items, bundling them in a single envelop, and delivering them to Associate Dean for Research Will Graf in the College of Arts and Sciences office, 251 Gambrell.
