Professor Newton’s contributions to the undergraduate program in French include teaching and coordinating FREN 122 (Basic Proficiency), the required course for the two largest colleges at USC. In the Fall of 1998 she was an Exchange Professor at the Université de Haute-Alsace in Mulhouse, France and directed the 2001 and 2003 USC in Tours program.
