Dr. Curtis Ford (Ph.D. Slavic Linguistics, UNC-Chapel Hill) teaches all levels of Russian language as well as courses in Russian linguistics and sociolinguistics. His scholarly interests include the links between language standardization and national and cultural identities in Central Europe and elsewhere. Dr. Ford works hands-on to create innovative tools for language learners; his Sona Vocabulary Assistant (for Windows and OS X) is distributed free of charge to USC Russian students, and he recently released Glagoly, a reference app on Russian verbs, in the iTunes App Store.
