In my research I have combined the areas of CALL and SLA to study the impact of different types of feedback on various types of computer-delivered tasks. I also work with the attentional framework and investigate the degrees of awareness that foreign language learners allocate to form/meaning in the input. More recently, I have begun exploring inter- and intra-ethnic linguistic attitudes among L1Spanish speakers within the local Hispanic community.I have taught basic language Spanish courses as well as Special Topics courses that have included "Spanish in Society," "Spanish Language and Hispanic Cultures in the US," and "Spanish Oral Proficiency. I have also taught courses that are part of our MAT and Undergraduate Teaching Certification Programs, most of which are cross-listed with courses in the Linguistics Program ("Introduction to Spanish Linguistics," and "Second Language Acquisition and Foreign Language Teaching" among others).
