Master of Arts in Teaching -German

The Master of Arts in Teaching degree in German (M.A.T.) prepares people for teaching the language; and for state teaching certification in grades 7 through 12. The 55 semester hour program requires 21 German and 9 Education graduate credits, plus 25 Education credits for state certification. A full-year secondary-school internship is an integral part of the M.A.T. Up to 12 semester hours of graduate credit in German and/or Education earned at other institutions may be transferred into this program. Graduate assistantships are available.
