Each of the machines has a full complement of software and hardware optimized for foreign language-learning and multimedia applications.

Computer-Assisted Language Learning
The Mimms Center boasts a wide assortment of language-learning software programs which represent a variety of pedagogical approaches. Checkout and Reservations

We require that all lab reservations be made by sending an e-mail to fllcrequest@gwm.sc.edu within 48 hours of the time of reservation.

Tutoring

While the Center does not employ language tutors per se, the graduate assistants employed in the lab are fluent in one or more of the languages taught at USC. Many of our work-study students have also studied one or more foreign languages. These lab assistants are available to assist lab patrons with grammar or vocabulary questions. The individual language departments also offer tutoring for students.
