Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) Site License
for the USC Columbia campus

The University of South Carolina maintains a campus use license for most of the ESRI GIS products. Their software web site contains a complete listing of products - not all of which may be covered by our site license. Contact the USC Campus License Coordinator for information on what is not covered.

As designated in the site license there must be one point of contact for the University. That point of contact is the staff position in the Department of Geography, designated as Campus ESRI GIS coordinator. Kevin Remington holds that position. Campus support consists of the following services:

  • provide ESRI GIS software to valid campus users
  • provide consultation and technical support for these products
  • represent the University to ESRI with regard to software and Campus Site License administration issues
  • offer short courses on relevant topics to the campus community
