Facilities
GIScience is used a mix of research labs, open labs and teaching classrooms, as well as through over 110 access points at individual faculty or staff desktops.
Public access facilities for desktop ArcGIS can be found in Gambrell Hall, Callcott, Norman J. Arnold School of Public Health, Sumwalt Engineering, Thomas Cooper Library and in Swearingen Engineering.
Resources - Web Servers & Applications
The Earth Sciences and Resources Institute, the Geography Department, the College of Arts & Sciences, SCIAA and the Advanced Solutions Group all run GIS web servers. Visit the active web applications site for examples of our efforts at U.S.C.
Resources - Data Servers
The Department of Geography's GISciences Research Laboratory maintains a web-accessible GIS data site. The server is housed at the CAS-Gambrell Lab and is accessible across the campus network. Several other units maintain digital data holdings within their field(s) of interest, not available on the campus data server.
