“No Impact USC” Film Festival
University 101 is excited to present the “No Impact USC” Film Festival. This project, inspired by the 2011 First-Year Reading text, No Impact Man, provided University 101 students a unique way to use video storytelling to explore sustainability at the University of South Carolina. Each participating section of University 101 chose a video from their class to be submitted as a Finalist for the “No Impact USC” Film Festival.From the 18 films submitted, 8 were chosen to be featured in the Film Festival which will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2010 at 8 pm in the Russell House Theatre.
FILM FESTIVAL PROGRAM:
The No Impact USC Film Festival will be held Wednesday, November 2nd at 8 pm in the Russell House Theatre. Please make this announcement and encourage your students to attend! Refreshments and drinks will be provided!! Each U101 student who attends will receive a No Impact button and they have an opportunity to win some great door prizes!
Winners will be chosen in the following categories by a panel of judges:
· Best No Impact USC Message
· Best Overall Film
· Fan Favorite Award (voted on via Poll Anywhere at the Film Festival=tell your students to bring their friends for a chance to win!!!!)
