Student interest in sustainability and demand for additional opportunities related to sustainability continue to increase. Nationally, 69% of incoming freshman are looking at a school’s green opportunities and initiatives on campuses as part of the selection process in picking a college. At USC, 73% of students are interested in taking sustainability related/focused courses and 68% of those students would prefer to see sustainability integrated into their current courses.
