Sustainable Carolina is a collaboration of offices, departments, and individuals at the University of South Carolina. The core of Sustainable Carolina includes the Office of Sustainability, the Green Quad Residence Hall, and the Learning Center for Sustainable Futures. Sustainable Carolina is organized as fifteen project teams composed of students, faculty, staff, and community members. As members of the Sustainable Carolina staff, individuals not only contribute to sustainability at the University of South Carolina, but they learn the skills and tools to engaged as a civic leader beyond Sustainable Carolina.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Sustainable Carolina is to educate and transform the campus and community by promoting collaborative relationships among students, faculty, staff, and community members for exploring and implementing the changes required to create a sustainable campus and society.
VISION STATEMENT
The vision of Sustainable Carolina is to provide leadership and support for students, faculty, staff, and community members who are part of a campus and community that has adopted sustainability as a core principle.
