Climate Change in Context: How can Society Prepare for a Warmer World?

"There is overwhelming agreement amongst scientists that human-induced climate change is altering natural ecosystems, and that these impacts have major economic and societal impacts. The question that we need to ask is no longer, “is climate change happening.” Rather, it is, “where, when, and how severe will these impacts will be so that we can better prepare for the future.”

USC’s Environment and Sustainability Program, in partnership with Sustainable Midlands, the City of Columbia and Sustainable Carolina, announces three programs by Sister Paula Gonzalez (also known as “The Solar Nun”) on January 23rd & 24th. Sister Paula, who travels locally by a solar golf cart, is known as a dynamic speaker/motivator and is the recipient of several Creation Care and energy conservation awards.
