USC's Graduate Students in History
Student Publications
USC graduate students quickly become contributing members of the historical profession. In the past few years, many students have presented their research at the annual meetings of the American Historical Association, the American Studies Association, the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture, the Organization of American Historians, the Society for Historians of the Early American Republic, the Southern Historical Association, and other major conferences. The graduate program provides travel funds to support these important professional experiences. USC graduate students have also enjoyed impressive success in publishing revised versions of seminar papers and other research projects in leading scholarly journals, and in publishing revised versions of doctoral dissertations as books.
