Education:

B.S. Wisconsin State Univ-Stevens Point (1969)
Ph.D. University of Maryland (1976)


Teaches modern political history with an emphasis on the presidency and congress.

Professor Maney teaches the US history survey and undergraduate and graduate courses on the United States in the 20th Century. His publications include The Roosevelt Presence: The Life and Legacy of FDR and Young Bob: A Biography of Robert M. La Follette, Jr a biography of prominent New Deal senator and heir to Wisconsin’s famous political dynasty who served in the US Senate from 1925 to his defeat by Joseph McCarthy in 1946.

Current Activities:

I'm currently researching a book on the Clinton presidency.
