PUBLIC HISTORY ---- Professor Synnott's recent scholarly pursuits

Professor Marcia Synnott delivered a paper at the "Plantations of the Mind" conference in Charleston in April, entitled "Traveling Through Time at Carter's Grove, 1600's-1900's: A Challenge for Historic Site Interpretation." She recently published, with Laurel Sharp, Women in the Quincy Homestead: A Brief History of the Women of the Edmund Quincy Family for the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Dr. Synnott continues to work with Steve Jackson, a doctoral candidate in the USC College of Journalism and Mass Communication on a video-CD oral history of the Historic Columbia Foundation.
