PUBLIC HISTORY ---- Certificate Program in Historical Archaeology and Cultural Resources Management Approved
The Certificate Program in Historical Archaelogy and Cultural Resources Management has been approved by the Graduate School. Administered by the Department of Anthropology, the certificate is structured similarly to the Certificate in Museum Management offered through the McKissick Museum. It consists of eighteen credit hours, including laboratory and field experience.
A number of courses already part of the Public History Program curriculum count toward the certificate. This means that some current students already have some of the necessary credit hours. Incoming students can plan their program of study to include this certificate with the expectation that it will probably add one additional semester to their studies here at USC.
For information and application materials, see Kenneth G. Kelly, Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology and coordinator of the Certificate Program in Historical Archaeology and Cultural Resources Management. His e-mail address is kenneth.kelly@sc.edu.
