African American History Monument

The African American History Monument was dedicated on the grounds of the South Carolina State House in March 2001. Walter Edgar, founder of the Applied History Program, and Robert Weyeneth, current co-director, served on the citizens advisory committee that selected the sculptor and design of the monument.
