Dr. Kathy Ewing, Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Duke University, will present, "Stigmatized Masculinity: Muslim Gender Relations and Cultural Citizenship in Germany." This lecture is part of the Lecture Series, “East and West in the Turkish Nation: Contemporary Issues in Turkey."

Monday, September 15, 3:00pm in the Lumpkin Auditorium (8th floor, Moore School of Business)
21st Century Slavery: Living Proof” with Micheline Slattery, a Haitian woman and victim of slave labor trafficking, will discuss her experiences and the scope of trafficking today. Slattery was born to a prominent political family in Haiti, but after being orphaned at age five, she was sent to live with relatives as a child slave. This event is also sponsored by the Latin American Studies Program and Women's Studies.
