| “21st Century Slavery: Living Proof” with Micheline Slattery, a Haitian woman and victim of slave labor trafficking, will discuss her experiences and the scope of trafficking today. Slattery was born to a prominent political family in Haiti, but after being orphaned at age five, she was sent to live with relatives as a child slave. This event is also sponsored by the Latin American Studies Program and Women's Studies. |
