Patrick Heelan will present the fruit of his lifelong interest in the work
of Vincent Van Gogh. He presents a study of the actual "modern" scientific
perspective used by Van Gogh in his paintings. In particular, he provides
a study of the Perspective Instrument used by Van Gogh in his works. The
talk is a very careful blend of scientific and artistic concerns.
Sponsored by USC Art and Philosophy Departments.
