The growth of the World Wide Web seems to have placed knowledge at our
fingertips, available anywhere at anytime. But knowledge is more than just
information; it has a social life. Over the past twenty years, computer

practice, sharing what they know through how they know it and how they
bring it to bear of problems of common interest.
