Campus Maps and Directions | Original Call for Papers and Submission Guidelines | SCSP E-mail List Blocks of rooms have been reserved for SCSP/NCPS members at 2 different hotels close to the USC campus, as we could not find one hotel willing to hold a block of rooms large enough to accommodate our whole group. Here are the options:
There are several conventions in town on the same weekend as the SCSP/NCPS meetings, which is one reason why we can't reserve a large block of rooms. Here is one other option to try:
We suggest you make your reservations as soon as possible to ensure yourself a room. You can always cancel later, if your plans change. There are of course many other hotels/motels in the Columbia area, and if anyone wants further suggestions or has problems securing a reservation at the 3 hotels mentioned above, please contact Anne Bezuidenhout at (803) 777-3731 or send an e-mail to annebez@vm.sc.edu. Further information, including maps, details about conference registration and so on will be available soon. A web page has been set up for the conference. Please visit this page to get the latest information about our conference arrangements: http://www.cas.sc.edu/phil/SCSP/columbia98-.html
Alternative Accommodations: For graduate students who are planning to attend, but would like a less costly alternative to staying in a hotel, we would like to offer you the possibility of "crash space" in the home of one of the USC Philosophy Department graduate students. If you are interested in this option, please fill out the slip below, so that we can ensure the compatibility of potential guests and hosts. Return completed form to Anne Bezuidenhout, Department of Philosophy, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC 29208 or return via e-mail to annebez@vm.sc.edu:
Yes, I am interested in being hosted by a USC philosophy graduate student during the SCSP/NCPS meetings on February 20 and 21, 1998.
