The University generously provides the West Forum with office space and meeting rooms. But we depend upon tax-deductible contributions from foundations, corporations, and individuals for our annual operating expenses. Support for this program of civic involvement and leadership established in 2002 by Governor John West can be made through Matching Gifts, Memorial Gifts, or contributions to the Endowment. Donors also may contribute directly on-line.
Gifts of cash
The simplest and most frequently made gift is a cash donation. Cash gifts are tax deductible and thus reduce the "out-of-pocket" expense. Cash gifts may be made with cash, check, or money order, payable to the USC Educational Foundation, with “West Forum” in the "For" line. Please mail or hand-deliver to:

Matching gifts
Many employers will match your gift to the West Forum. When not prohibited by the employer, the matching gift is designated for the same purpose as the employee's gift. With this plan, the value of your gift can double, in some cases, triple. Please contact your employer's matching gift coordinator and send the required forms along with your gift designating the USC Educational Foundation’s West Forum account. <TopPage>
Memorial gifts
A memorial gift is an excellent way to honor a deceased friend or family member. The West Forum welcomes such thoughtful remembrances. A memorial card is sent to the next of kin or other person designated by the donor. Examples include endowed memorial funds carrying the deceased person's name (for gifts of $5000 or more) or smaller remembrances such as a library book carrying a memorial book plate. Your memorial gift honors the memory of a loved friend or family member while simultaneously supporting the West Forum’s efforts to enrich the civic environment and leadership of South Carolina. <TopPage>

We hope within a few years to fund annual Forum operating expenses from income generated by a substantial endowment fund.
