Women’s Caucus for Political Science; 2004/2005 Awards

MARY LEPPER AWARD.

Commemorates the life of Mary Lepper. Created to honor a colleague who, over the course of her career, blended academic teaching and research with government service, public office, political engagement, or grass-roots activism. Previous recipients of the Mary Lepper Award have been: Jo Freeman, Elsie Scott, Aileen Hernandez, Kathleen A. Frankovic, Frances Fox Piven, Nikki Van Hightower, and Dianne Pinderhughes. To be awarded every other year. Please Note: Next award will be given in 2006. Send nominations to: Anne N. Costain, University of Colorado, Anne.Costain@colorado.edu.

ALICE PAUL DISSERTATION AWARD.

Given to the best proposal on women and politics, in honor of the heroine of the struggle for women’s suffrage. Dissertation proposals accepted in 2004-2005 will be accepted.

Deadline is July 1, 2005.

MENTOR AWARDS.
