
Charles Chonghan Wu’s research is focused on international conflicts and political methodology, especially on conflict process and conflict escalation. Currently, he studies how national affinity influences conflict escalation between democratic and non-democratic countries. He is also interested in foreign policy analysis. Other research interests include Chinese foreign policy and the triangular relationships between Taiwan, China and the United States.
Charles Wu received his B.A. from National Cheng-Chi University (Taiwan) with dual degree in law and diplomacy (2002). After his military service at air force as a second lieutenant, he came to New York University to continue his academic track on political science study, and obtained his M.A. degree in 2007. He practiced his internship for the Republic of the Marshall Islands Permanent Mission to the United Nations during the 61st General Assembly.
In his spare time, Charles plays baseball, basketball and table tennis. He actively engages into church service as well. He also loves traveling, reading classic novels, and political blogs.
