Lucas McMillan

Lucas McMillan

Lucas McMillan studies international relations and American politics.  He is particularly interested how subnational governments are involved in international affairs and his dissertation examines the way in which U.S. states and governors are involved in U.S. foreign and economic policy. Lucas’ teaching and research interests include U.S. foreign policy, European integration, IR theory, U.S. state politics, and the presidency.  He is a graduate of Wofford College in South Carolina and the University of Warwick in England, where he studied as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar.  Lucas is past Vice President and Secretary of the Political Science Graduate Student Association.
