Roger is a Ph.D. student from
Taiwan. Before coming to USC, he was a reporter covering China
and foreign affairs. After that, he worked for major think tanks
and wrote policy papers and reports for official reference in his
nation. Roger contributed thousands of political news stories in
his career as a journalist; he is also the translator of the Chinese
version "A No-Nonsense Guide to Fair Trade" and the author of a
monograph on the U.S.-Taiwan-China triangular relationship in major
International Organizations.
Roger's research interests include international relations theory,
international conflict, methodology, Chinese statecraft and foreign
policy, U.S.-China relations, and international relations in East
Asia. Roger is also a fan of the military and intelligence
affairs and a lover of big motorbikes. His favorite sports are
hiking, baseball, and swimming. His "American Dream" is a Ph.D.
and a grand tour across the U.S. on a Honda Gold Wing.
