Admissions Application

Residence and other basic requirements are those established by the USC Graduate School. This information is in the University of South Carolina Graduate Studies Bulletin.

Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, and their grades must be indicative of graduate ability. High-quality work in any discipline is acceptable. Recognizing that students interested in religious studies come from diverse backgrounds, the department carefully considers each applicant on an individual basis.

Interested applicants should contact the Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Kevin Lewis ( kevin@sc.edu; tel: 803-777-2283).

For application forms and requirements go to Graduate Admission Application Forms

Applications are considered three times each year. The three deadlines for receipt of applications are: March 1, May 1, and July 1. Students normally enter the program in the fall semester.
