After graduating from USC, I went to Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. I graduated in 2000 with a M. Div. I serve as pastor of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. I have served here since 2000. I am married with three children; SueEllen (9), David (10), and Hunter (12). My wife's name is Harriett. I miss all you guys at the department that I now see many have become emeritus faculty. - Jammie (Gillespie) Turner(2001)
- Jammie is administrative assistant to the director of graduate studies in the USC School of Music. In May 2003 she married Jack Turner ('02), who also graduated from the Religious Studies MA program.(contact information)

- Ron is serving as the Associate in Ministry at a 700-member Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation in Brevard, NC.(contact information)
- Mardi McCabe (2000)
- Since graduation has been working with the Department as website manager, database manager and other technical assistance. Mardi has also been working as a copy editor with the Encyclopedia of Hinduism, as well as database manager, office manager and personnel manager.(contact information)
- Cheryl Rhodes (2002)
- Since graduating Cheryl has been an adjunct professor at USC, teaching religious studies using contemporary fiction and film. She is also filling in for a professor at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.(contact information)

- After graduation, Gaurav served as the Pastoral Associate and Director of Christian
Formation for the St. Thomas Moore Catholic Student Center at USC until 2005. He is now a Novitiate with the Paulist Fathers in Washington DC.(contact information)
- Robert Steed (1994)
- I earned my Ph.D in Religious Studies (History of Asian Religions track focusing primarily upon China, with a secondary focus in Japan) from the University of Iowa in May 2008. My dissertation is titled "To Extend Love to All Creeping Things: Ethics in Ge Hong's _Baopuzi_." I currently am a full-time instructor of Humanities (East Asian cultures) at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa, and have written a chapter on Chinese religions for the forthcoming (2010) Rowman and Littlefield book, _Current Religions_. My wife, Haydee, is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Religious Studies focusing upon Mexican Catholicism in the 16th century, and my son, Ohmar, is double-majoring in Art and International Relations at the University of Iowa. We have a good life here in Iowa, but would enjoy returning to S.C. at some point. I would enjoy hearing from anyone at S.C. who remembers me from those years long ago... (contact information)
- Kevin Vaccarella (2000)
- Currently a PhD student at Florida State University, and finishing doctoral general exams this summer. Kevin will begin work on his dissertation in the Fall of 2004. He has been teaching an "Introduction to the New Testament" since Fall 2001. (contact information)
