Course Description
This course aims to further the student’s understanding of the history, traditions, authors, and geography of the New Testament with a more in depth study of the texts. Particular emphasis will be placed on the origin, structure, and transmission of the New Testament writings from their earliest forms to their present formation.

The student will be evaluated on the lectures and required readings in a Mid-term and final examination. These examinations will consist of multiple choice, short answer, and short essay questions. Weekly short quizzes will also be completed by students and will typically consist of map tests, identifications of key individuals, and/or identifications of important dates and places found in the text(s). Active class participation is encouraged and expected of all students
