Program Overview
With both undergraduate and graduate components, SC STEPs (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Talent
Expansion Program) to STEM provides scholarships, research internships,
workshops, and a series of courses designed to acclimate STEM transfer students to the University

Earn $ by Attending Socials
We are introducing an exciting new opportunity where you can earn a $500 stipend for
attending all four socials, meeting one-on-one with Susan at least once during the
semester, and completing all surveys we send out this semester.

Earn $ by Presenting Your Work
SC STEPs to STEM will provide an additional $200 stipend for any student who submits a poster or gives a presentation on their work at a
conference or meeting, including the SC Academy of Science (SCAS) and Discovery Day, and others. We will also double the size of any award
that you might win (for those who give a presentation).
