MFA PROGRAM OF STUDY


The Master of Fine Arts Degree with emphasis in
COSTUME DESIGN



A three-year program (63 credits)

1. Required Core of Costume Design Courses 24 credits
2. Required Critical and Supportive Studies 24 credits
3. Skills Courses 12 credits
4. Thesis Preparation 3 credits

63 credits

Other requirements for the MFA degree:
* A thesis must be accepted by the MFA Advisory Committee and by the Graduate School.
* A comprehensive examination must be passed.
* All course work must be at the 500 level or above; and one-half of the course work,
exclusive of thesis preparation, must be at the 700 level or above.
* A professional internship must be completed successfully.

The Costume Design Student is required to take the following required courses:
