Women's and Gender Studies Courses
For a complete list of WGST graduate courses see the Graduate Bulletin for Women's and Gender Studies.
Women's and Gender Studies courses can be integrated into other programs of study. Many of our graduate students work simultaneously on their graduate certificate in Women's and Gender Studies and a graduate degree in another department.
This is often easy to do, because certain courses count "double;" that
is, they count toward degrees in both departments. In some cases, as little
as one additional course is all that is needed to earn a graduate certificate
in Women's and Gender Studies.
Listed below are some departments and programs with
which WOST has worked to facilitate students obtaining two graduate degrees
most efficiently. Similar arrangements with other departments are also possible.
USC is now registered with UMI's digital library of dissertations and theses, known as Current Research @. Current Research @ (http://wwwlib.umi.com/cr/sc/main/) is a free service available to any institution that publishes its dissertations and/or theses with UMI. Through this site, you can:
1. search citations and abstracts of dissertations and theses submitted by USC and published in UMI's Dissertation Abstracts database,
2. view 24-page previews of dissertations and theses that were published after 1996 from any institution that cooperates with UMI, and
3. download the full text of USC dissertations and theses published after 1996 (for USC students, faculty, and staff the downloaded copies are free).
This service will help promote graduate research through increased access to theses and dissertations.
